I get nervous when I have to go to the doctor, but today I think they're just going to look at me and I don't have to rationalize my problems to them. I drank a cup of crystal light minutes ago because I can't have any more until after the ultrasound. In a darkly humorous way, I find it ironic that I will be getting an ultrasound today. I'm sure everything will be fine and this is just a precaution to check for anything more serious than what we already know. Still nervous.
Everything else in life is centered squarely on the upcoming demolition derby. The cars are painted gloss black and the boys have begun stenciling and stickers the sponsors' names across them. These are the nicest cars that the boys have ever had [matching 1970 Lincoln Continentals] and quite safe and sturdy, so I'm hoping that one of them at least places. C's boss (the other driver) brought team shirts by the house, so sister B and I are trying to figure out how to refashion them into halter tops or tank tops (for us, not the boys). The weather is set to be in the 90s (feels like 105) Saturday and we're riding in the parade and probably hanging around the fair until the demo starts - tanks are preferable to dark cotton tees. Will take pictures for those of you that care about the derby or the refashioned tees. Off to search for ways to convert the regular, too large tee into something fabulous.
